Description:
Morion – is an open face European helmet from the second half of the 16th century designed for foot and horse pike men, musketeers, bowmen etc. Morions were later worn by palace guards (the Swiss pope guards use them until today). The prolonged bell sometimes had a comb and the wide brim was raised at the sides, making a characteristic curve.
